South Eastern Regional College (SERC) is a further and higher education institution located in the south-east of Northern Ireland. It was established in August 2007 through the merging of three institutes: East Down Institute, Lisburn Institute, and North Down and Ards Institute. SERC aims to be a top 20 global college by 2020 and is currently ranked among the top 30 colleges in the UK. An inspection by the Education and Training Inspectorate in 2009 found that the quality of education and training provided by SERC in priority skills areas is good.
