Premium Evidence II: Practice and Principles Notes - Sample PDF

Description

These are very lengthy, very structured (color coded) and extremely detailed notes on the Law in relation to Evidence (practice and principles) in Ireland which includes English Law, too. The subjects are contained in individual documents and are as follows:

  • Bad Character Evidence

  • Discretionary Corroboration Warnings

  • Protected Witnesses (witness protection programmes, supergrass witnesses)

  • Sexual History Evidence

  • The Doctrine of Recent Complaint relating to the law of Sexual Offences

  • The Judges Role in Criminal Proceedings (judicial comment on the evidence etc)

  • Visual Identification evidence

  • Voice Identifcation evidence

  • Protections for Sexual Offence Complainants and Unreliable Evidence (accomplice evidence).

These notes are taken from multitudinous sources, e.g. Law Reform Commission Reports, media reports from both england and ireland for sexual offence notes, research reports, lecture notes, podcasts etc. and are heavily based on McGrath's book on Evidence and Liz Heffernan's book on evidence. They are truly excellent notes on Irish Criminal Law.
